9 Best Podcasts for B2B Marketers - Michelle J Raymond

I’m going to start with a confession: I’m not a big podcast listener. So when I recommend a podcast, it’s because I trust the people behind it and believe their expertise is worth your time.

These are my picks for the best podcasts for B2B marketers, covering LinkedIn strategy, paid advertising, demand generation, branded podcasts, email marketing, SEO and AI. I’ve chosen them with in-house B2B marketing teams in mind, including those juggling competing priorities, internal stakeholders and pressure to show results.

In several cases, I’ve worked with the hosts, appeared on their podcasts or shared a stage with them. I know their work and the way they approach helping marketers. Being popular isn’t enough to get my attention. I’m interested in expertise you can use, advice that respects your audience and people who care about doing good work. Gaming podcast charts and chasing hacks don’t meet that standard.

You’ll also find my own show, Social Media for B2B Growth, on this list. I’m including it because LinkedIn strategy for B2B marketing teams is exactly what it’s designed to help with. These recommendations aren’t ranked. Each has a different strength, and the right place to start depends on what you need help with.

Social Media for B2B Growth With Michelle J Raymond

Best For: LinkedIn Strategy for B2B Marketing Teams

If you’re responsible for your organisation’s LinkedIn presence, Social Media for B2B Growth is the podcast I create for you. It covers Company Page strategy, employee advocacy, content, buyer trust and how LinkedIn can support the wider business.

My approach starts with a simple belief: LinkedIn is a Team Sport. Marketing can lead the strategy, but the Company Page, leaders, sales teams and subject matter experts all have a role to play. The challenge is bringing them together in a way that people understand and can sustain.

Through solo episodes and guest conversations, I explore the decisions behind that work. How do you make your Company Page relevant to buyers? What support do employees need? How do you build internal buy-in and measure something more meaningful than impressions?

If your team is already busy on LinkedIn but needs more clarity, confidence and alignment, this is where I’d suggest starting. Explore Social Media for B2B Growth and choose an episode that addresses a challenge you’re facing now.

The LinkedIn Ads Show With AJ Wilcox

Best For: Getting More From Your LinkedIn Advertising Budget

AJ is the yin to my LinkedIn yang. I look after the organic side of LinkedIn Company Pages, and he takes care of paid. He’s my go-to LinkedIn advertising expert, and The LinkedIn Ads Show is where he shares that specialist knowledge.

What I appreciate is that his advice comes from managing major LinkedIn advertising accounts and continually testing what works. That experience translates into practical guidance to help marketers make better campaign decisions and improve the return on their advertising spend.

I’ve been lucky enough to meet AJ multiple times while speaking at the same events, including Social Media Marketing World. He’s also one of the nicest people you’ll meet. If paid LinkedIn is part of your marketing responsibilities, The LinkedIn Ads Show deserves your attention.

The B2B Playbook With Kevin Chen and George Coudounaris

Best For: Connecting Your Demand Generation Strategy

I love these fellow Aussies. What I’ve always appreciated about Kevin and George is how The B2B Playbook ties back to their structured, practical frameworks. There’s a clear connection between what they’re teaching and how the whole demand generation system works.

For a B2B marketer, that’s useful when you’re trying to understand how different activities should support each other. It gives you a way to step back from individual campaigns and look at the bigger picture, including how marketing and sales connect.

It’s been great watching them grow and seeing how they help marketers put those pieces together. If your team needs a more joined-up approach to demand generation, The B2B Playbook is my recommendation.

B2B Podcasting Insights With Neal Veglio

Best For: Making a Branded Podcast Support the Business

Neal is a big reason my own podcast has grown over time. I’ve experienced the value of his advice firsthand, and I appreciate his straight-talking, no-BS approach. He cares about his clients and wants them to succeed.

What matters to me is his focus on the purpose of your podcast and the return you’re working towards. He’s someone I trust to keep the attention on what matters to the business, without resorting to dodgy tactics to climb the charts.

For marketers running a branded podcast, or considering starting one, that perspective matters. A show takes time, resources and commitment. You need to understand what job it’s doing and whether it’s reaching the right people. I haven’t found anyone who understands branded podcasts better than Neal. Listen to B2B Podcasting Insights for his approach.

Do This, NOT That With Jay Schwedelson

Best For: Email Marketing Ideas and Tactics You Can Implement

Jay is well known for his insights on email subject lines, and Do This, NOT That brings that practical approach to a wider range of marketing topics. It’s fast-talking, full of ideas you can put into action and always served with a good dose of fun.

For B2B marketers, I’d recommend it when you’re looking for something useful to test in your email marketing or campaigns. Take an idea that fits your audience, apply it thoughtfully and see what your own results tell you.

You’ll also get some questionable TV show choices along the way. Grab your favourite caffeinated drink before you press play. You’ll need it to keep up with Do This, NOT That.

SEO F**king What With Nikki Pilkington

Best For: Understanding What Deserves Your Attention in SEO

Nikki is so passionate about SEO that she’s ready to call out the industry rubbish to help you stay on track. What I appreciate is that she also explains what to do next. Each episode gives you practical advice in language that’s easy to understand.

I’ve personally worked with Nikki on my business, and I was amazed by how much she helped me improve in a short time. That experience is why I’m confident recommending her expertise.

If you’re responsible for a B2B website, you need enough understanding to make good decisions and ask useful questions about the work being done. Nikki helps make SEO less confusing and gives you things you can act on. SEO F**king What is a strong choice if you want clear guidance and don’t mind a bit of swearing.

The Marketing Meetup Podcast With Joe Glover and Guests

Best For: Broadening Your Marketing Thinking

Joe Glover is the kindest person in marketing. There, I said it. He’s dedicated himself to building an amazing community of marketers around the world, and that care for people is a big part of why I recommend his work.

Joe asks great questions of knowledgeable guests about topics that are top of mind for marketers. The Marketing Meetup Podcast brings together interviews, discussions and recorded talks, giving you access to different experiences and perspectives.

For B2B marketers, I’d recommend it when you want to look beyond a single channel and develop your broader marketing thinking. Choose a topic relevant to your role and spend some time with people who can help you see it differently. Explore The Marketing Meetup Podcast to find your starting point.

Permission to Rant With Penny Warnock and Nike Pucci

Best For: The Realities of Working in B2B Marketing

Being totally honest, I didn’t give this podcast much of a chance when I first tried it. I wasn’t sure my Gen X self would enjoy the show. I’m here to say I was wrong.

Penny Warnock and Nike Pucci from Contentoo bring plenty of energy and fun, and they know their stuff. Their conversations tackle AI hype, broken workflows, stakeholder chaos and the very human experience of trying to do B2B marketing without losing your mind.

That makes this show particularly relevant if you’re working inside a marketing team and recognise those challenges. The personalities might draw you in, but the understanding of what B2B marketers deal with gives you a reason to stay. For a taste, watch their Permission to Rant episode on AI and marketing workflows.

AI Explored With Michael Stelzner

Best For: Learning How AI Can Apply to Your Marketing Work

When it comes to podcasting, Mike Stelzner is someone I’ve come to know and trust. Many marketers will know him through Social Media Examiner and the Social Media Marketing Podcast. With AI Explored, he brings his interviewing experience to the practical use of AI.

Mike knows how to get the most out of his guests. He asks the questions that help you understand the topic, so you finish feeling smarter for having listened. That’s valuable when you’re trying to get your head around AI and what it could mean for your work.

If learning more about AI and marketing is on your list, AI Explored is the podcast I’d recommend. Start with a topic connected to something your team is trying to do, then consider how the ideas could fit your own organisation.

Choose a Podcast That Helps With the Work in Front of You

You don’t need to add nine podcasts to your weekly to-do list. Pick the one that speaks to a challenge you’re facing and start with a relevant episode. Share it with a colleague if it could help you work through something together.

These recommendations come from my trust in the people behind the microphones. Their expertise, generosity and approach to marketing are why I’m happy to put my name behind this list.

If LinkedIn is where you need that support, follow Social Media for B2B Growth for practical conversations about Company Pages, your people and the business goals they should support.
