After working with Company Pages for more than six years, I keep seeing the same problems.
Different industries. Different teams. Same patterns.
That’s exactly what I unpack in my latest podcast episode, along with the framework I use with clients to diagnose what’s really going on.
I call it the Four Cs.
This article is inspired by the recent episode of the Social Media for B2B Growth Podcast hosted by Michelle J Raymond, which discusses this topic in more detail.
What “Growth” Actually Means on LinkedIn
Growth is not about one post going viral. It’s not about chasing formats, and it’s definitely not about copying what competitors are doing. I’m also not measuring it with impressions or engagement alone.
Real growth comes from a system that connects:
- Strategy
- Content
- People
- Consistency
If those things aren’t working together, no amount of posting will fix it.
That’s why I always come back to marketing fundamentals.
The Four Cs Framework
The Four Cs give you a simple way to step back and assess what’s really happening on your Company Page, without getting distracted by formats, trends or tactics.
Instead of guessing what to fix, this framework helps you identify where things are breaking down and where your attention will have the biggest impact. Most Pages don’t have a single major problem. They have a range of small gaps that compound over time.
You don’t need to fix everything at once. But you do need to know what’s missing. That’s what the Four Cs help you uncover.
Clarity: The Starting Point for LinkedIn Company Page Growth
This is where most Company Pages fall over first.
Clarity answers two questions:
- Who owns the Company Page?
- Who is this Company Page for? Name your audience.
You’d be amazed at how many Pages have no clear owner. I’ve been in meetings where I asked who owns the Page, and everyone just looked around the room.
That’s not a strategy.
Ownership matters because accountability matters.
The second part of clarity is the audience.
If someone lands on your Page for the first time, can they instantly tell if they’re in the right place? Your banner, tagline, About section and content should make that obvious.
Most Pages try to appeal to everyone. The result is content that resonates with no one and gets lost in the crowd.
👉 Clarity isn’t what you say internally. It’s what your audience understands the moment they land on your LinkedIn Company Page.
Content: Get More Engagement On Your LinkedIn Company Page
Content only works when clarity comes first. Most teams think their problem is creativity. It usually isn’t. The real issue is the lack of a system.
Ask yourself:
- Do you have a simple content calendar?
- Are you posting consistently, not sporadically?
- Is the content built for your named audience, not internal stakeholders?
Great content is planned before it’s written. If there’s no system, consistency will always slip.
Here’s another big one that often gets ignored.
- Would your employees actually want to engage with your posts?
If the answer is no, your content isn’t ready. You know content is good when your team willingly wants to engage, not cringe.
👉 Let’s talk calls to action. Every post should have one clear action. Follow. Comment. Save. Visit. When you ask people to do everything, they do nothing.
Community: Turning Visibility Into Trust
LinkedIn growth is human before it’s corporate. Always.
Community shows up in a few key ways.
First, visual consistency. If your logo disappeared, would your content still be recognisable in the feed?
Second, Page commenting. Pages that actively comment are building visibility faster than those that only post.
Third, leadership involvement. Leaders can’t sit this out. Their engagement brings authority and trust that teams simply can’t replicate.
And finally, people in your content. Real employees. Real faces. This is one of the fastest wins available. Pages that feature their people consistently outperform those that only post products and announcements.
👉 When leaders show up consistently, the rest of the community follows. Visibility from the top builds trust faster than any campaign.
Cadence: Making Growth Sustainable Over Time
Cadence is about consistency, not volume. If it’s not scheduled, it doesn’t happen.
Set time aside for:
- Researching
- Posting
- Engaging
- Page Advocacy – Supporting others as the Page eg Repost, Like, Comment
- Reviewing performance
Reporting matters more than most teams realise. Look beyond impressions. Check saves, shares, follower growth and demographics.
That’s how you know whether your content is reaching the right audience.
👉 If you’re not reviewing performance regularly, you’re guessing instead of deciding.
Where to Start
If all of this feels like a lot, don’t overcomplicate it.
Start with Clarity. Always.
Once that’s in place, look across the Four Cs and choose two or three actions that will have the biggest impact for your business right now. Not everything needs fixing at once, and trying to do too much is often what stalls progress.
Real growth comes from focusing on the right things and doing them consistently over time.
Final Thoughts
Some of this might sound obvious.
That’s my point.
I’ve worked with hundreds of companies to help their Pages grow. The ones that do are not the flashiest or the loudest. They’re the ones who get the fundamentals right and stick with them.
Quality over quantity. Consistency over intensity. Strategy before tactics. Every time.
If you want an independent set of eyes on your Company Page, my Company Page Audit and Strategy sessions are designed for exactly that. Sometimes, an outside perspective is what unlocks the next stage of growth.
