Let me guess…
You stopped posting about your products or services because you didn’t want to come across as cringe. Now, leads have dried up.
Sound familiar?
I see this happen way too often. Business owners who were confidently showing up on LinkedIn suddenly pull back. They’ve been told “don’t be salesy,” “just focus on value,” or “lead with thought leadership.”
Here’s the truth: if people don’t know what you sell, they can’t buy it.
It’s time to talk about writing sales posts on LinkedIn without feeling like you need a shower afterwards.
This article is inspired by the recent episode of the Social Media for B2B Growth Podcast hosted by Michelle J Raymond.
If you want to know all the details invest under 20 mins and listen or watch the episode.
What Went Wrong With Selling on LinkedIn?
It wasn’t always like this.
Once upon a time, just showing up on LinkedIn was enough to get leads. But it’s 2025, not 2020. Things are tougher now. And too many people took shortcuts that wrecked it for the rest of us:
❌ Spamming your whole network with the same untargeted pitch
❌ Using automation tools to blast out generic DMs
❌ Thinking one reply per thousand messages is a “win”
Now we’re left with a weird fear of selling.
So we overcorrect. No sales posts. Just helpful tips. And then we wonder where all the inbound leads have gone.
Let’s Talk About the Real Problem
The biggest barrier to selling on LinkedIn, I believe, is mindset.
You didn’t go into business to become a salesperson. You wanted to do what you’re great at. But now you’re spending more time trying to get business than actually doing the work you love.
And if you’ve never had a sales job, this can feel overwhelming. Add to that:
- Fear of judgement – “What will people think?”
- Imposter syndrome – “Am I good enough?”
- Worry about being pushy or spammy.
So we go quiet. Or we try to “post more” non-sales content and hope it magically works.
Spoiler: It doesn’t.
What Happens When You Never Sell
I’ve seen this pattern again and again:
- You stop talking about your offers.
- You stop getting leads.
- You post more, hoping that fixes it.
- You burn out or give up.
Even worse? You fall for the next scam promising “inbound leads overnight” for a few thousand dollars. And that makes me angry, because the stakes are high and there are no shortcuts.
This isn’t just about social media. It’s about your business, your income, and the life you’re building. Let’s not leave that up to chance.

The Non-Cringe Framework I Use (and You Can Too)
Here’s what I discovered works, and it’s so simple.
🟩 PAS = Problem → Agitation → Solution
This classic sales copywriting framework is my go-to for writing sales posts that feel helpful, not hard.
P – Problem:What’s the challenge your ideal clients face?
A – Agitation:What happens if they don’t fix it?
S – Solution: How does your offer address the issue?
Example from my business that’s relatable to my clients:
Problem – You’re spending hours on LinkedIn with no results.
Agitation– You’re burnt out, doubting yourself, and still not getting leads.
Solution – My B2B G.R.O.W.T.H Masterclass provides you with a proven framework to focus your time and get results.
That’s it. No cringe. No spam. Just showing up to solve problems.
And yes, you can use ChatGPT to structure your posts in this format as well.
Ready to Make LinkedIn Work Again?
If you’ve been avoiding sales posts out of fear, it’s time to shift your mindset.
Sales = solving problems. Sales = helping people. Sales = sustainability for your business.
You don’t have to shout. You don’t have to chase. You just need a clear message and the courage to say it.
Go write that post. The right people are waiting to hear it.
